Blackmagic ATEM Constellation

Tally Light for ATEM Constellation — Internet-Native

ATEM Constellation productions are large enough to have remote talent, multi-site campuses, and crew who aren't on the studio network. Cue Light gives all of them a tally signal — over the internet, on any device, free alongside your existing tally hardware.

Where ATEM Constellation tally falls short

ATEM Constellation productions are complex enough to have dedicated tally hardware — Blackmagic MultiView, third-party tally boxes, or Tally Arbiter installations. These cover the camera operators on the studio floor. What they miss:

🌐

Remote talent and guests

Anyone connecting via Zoom, Teams, or Skype can't receive a hardware tally signal. Cue Light reaches them over the internet.

🏛️

Multi-site events

Remote campus or overflow room not on the studio network? Cue Light works over any internet connection.

📱

Floor managers and producers

Staff who need situational awareness but aren't at a fixed camera position — Cue Light on their phone costs nothing to add.

🎤

Talent in greenrooms

Waiting talent needs to know when they're about to go on. A phone with Cue Light display costs nothing and requires no cabling.

On Constellation productions, Cue Light doesn't replace your existing tally hardware — it fills the internet gap. Camera ops on the studio floor use dedicated hardware. Everyone else uses Cue Light.

Setup on a Constellation production

  1. TD opens Cue Light at the control deskOpen cuelight.io/app alongside ATEM Software Control on the TD's workstation or a second device. No install.

  3. Signal alongside ATEM switchingTD taps Cue Light states alongside ATEM cuts. Keyboard shortcuts: 1 = Live, 2 = Preview, 0 = Off. A second operator can handle Cue Light if the TD is too busy.
